Meet Our Physicians

David B. Burstein, M.D.

Dr. David Burstein is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon.  He obtained his undergraduate degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in Electrical Engineering and his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine.  He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Hartford Hospital and The University of Connecticut Health Center. He then completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at TRIA Orthopedic Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

 

Dr. Burstein entered private practice with Farmington Valley Orthopedic Associates in 1988.  He specializes in sports medicine but sees patients with all orthopedic problems and conditions and performs all types of orthopedic surgery with a special interest in arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder. He has served as the team physician for University of Hartford for over 20 years and provides coverage for local schools such as Avon Old Farms School.  Dr. Burstein has privileges at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford Hospital and Connecticut Surgery Center in Hartford.
